Note
the general outline of the dog, the "terrier " head with a fair length
of muzzle. Also note the coat texture - hard and straight.
These
are two of the early Bailey (English) dogs of the early 30's. Again
note the longish muzzles and the hard straight hair coats. These
dogs do not have a "puggy" or so called "oriental" expression, but are
distinctly Terrier in head type

and Phema, gifts of the Dalai Lama to the Suydham cuttings in the 40's.
Again you can see the terrier expression. Also note the ear set and
the very straight forefaces, with a large prominent nose leather.
